Natural Butchery adventure camp, December 19, Yarra Junction Friday-Sunday

from A$275.00
DESCRIPTION

Would you like to learn how to process your own bought, or hunted, meats? Come and learn a thorough and respectful way of processing an entire animal body.

In this workshop we learn in depth how to most effectively take apart 2 different animals and how best to use each part with a zero-waste approach. We will also discuss ideas around storing and preserving certain parts for future food.

How much of an animal do we usually throw away? This course can directly help reduce your weekly shopping bill, and impact on the earth, through waste minimisation.

Processing animal bodies is an ancient artform practiced by all cultures around the world for countless generations. Reconnecting with the life/death cycles in a mindful, respectful way is a powerful way of reviving our ancestral lineages, and our connection to the earth.

This will be a hybrid workshop based around hunting trapping and aquiring meat. how best to store meat, and when meat is safe to eat.

This will be in a primitive camp scenario.

Although this workshop is about meat, of course there’s no pressure to do or to consume anything you don’t wish to on the day. You are fully at choice at all times.

The workshop will go ahead in all types of weather, including rain, so please come prepared, and bring any food or water that you’ll need on the day.

I look forward to welcoming you on the land and learning together!
